Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Well-being

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of fans had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the second of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
