Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area close to the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the US has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
